Christophe Lecuyer is Principal Economic Analyst in the Office of the President of the University of California. He is an expert on the history of technology, and he is the author of Making Silicon Valley: Innovation and Growth of High-Tech, 1930-1970. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University.
